The white house is ready to support the US defence budget, providing Ukraine with $ 250 million, including 50 million dollars. with a lethal defense weapon.

“The press Secretary of the White house Sarah Sanders expressed support for the consolidated project of the U.S. defence budget, which was passed on Thursday by the House of representatives by an absolute majority of votes – 54 359”, – stated in the message.

We are talking about the consolidated draft law “Budget of the United States for the year 2019 for the needs of national defence”, which generally provides for 717 billion on defense. The project has already received support in the Senate and could be supported by senators next week .

Then the document goes for the signature of the President of the United States Donald trump. One of the articles of the document allows to provide the U.S. Department of defense $ 250 million to assist Ukraine in the field of security.

This amount include $ 50 million for defensive lethal weapons to Ukraine. The document includes provisions on continuation of cooperation with Ukraine in the issue of cybersecurity, which provides assistance to Kiev in strengthening their own capabilities to protect against cyber attacks.

Also in the section on “strengthening deterrence of Russian aggression in Europe” refers to usilenny assistance to Ukraine in the sphere of security and the support of the reform of the defence sector. A project of the American budget-2019 provides “the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy of cooperation in the field of security, explains, and prioritizes the support of allies and partners in Europe, including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia” and “study the possibility to increase the frequency and scale of military exercises of NATO in the Black sea with the participation of Ukraine and Georgia”.
