MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Team USA big team defeated Honduras in the match of the 3rd round of the sixth round of the qualifying stage of the 2018 world Cup in a zone Northern and Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). Meeting at the stadium “Avaya” in San Jose (California) ended with the score 6:0.

Goals were scored by Sebastian Lletget (5 minutes), Michael Bradley (27), Clint Dempsey (32, 49, 54) and Christian Politics (46). 34-year-old Dempsey became the oldest author of a hat – trick in the history of team USA.

In the earlier matches of the 3rd round of the national team of Trinidad and Tobago at home defeated the team of Panama (1:0), and the Mexicans in his field defeated the team of Costa Rica (2:0 ).

The Americans won the first victory in the final round of selection, and rose to fourth place with three points in three matches. Leading a team of Mexico (7 points), in second place was team Costa Rica (6), the third – Panama (4), the fifth – Trinidad and Tobago (3), the sixth – Honduras (3).

Double round Robin final round of qualifiers for the 2018 world Cup in the CONCACAF zone will be completed in October 2017. Three best teams will reach the final of the 2018 world Cup directly, another team – at the end of the Intercontinental play-offs with a representative of the Asian football Confederation.

Matches of the next tour will take place in the night of Wednesday.
