Company Workhorse first flew passenger copter-air taxi SureFly with a man on Board. Tests conducted in the U.S. city of Cincinnati, Ohio, reports needforfly.com.ua.

The machine rose into the air only for a few seconds. It weighs 499 kg and is equipped with a gasoline generator that produces electricity to power eight electric motors.

Also on Board is installed Li-ion battery for emergency power in case of generator failure. Additionally, the taxi is equipped with a rescue parachute.

The declared maximum speed SureFly – 113 km per hour, range of flight with two people aboard – 110-120 km .

Workhorse expects that the first version of the aircraft will be piloted by a human with a joystick, but future models will be able to fly in fully Autonomous mode and with a payload of up to 181 kilos on the height of 1200 meters.
