SIMFEROPOL, February 28. /TASS/. Famous singer, honored artist of Russia and a native of the city of Kerch, Alena Sviridova sure that after the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait, which will connect the Crimean Peninsula with mainland Russia, Crimea would thrive.

“I want the Kerch bridge was built, and lay great hopes on him. When that happens, Crimea will indeed prosper,” she said in an interview with “Crimean journal”, which publishes the government of the Crimean news Agency.

At the same time Sviridov believes that vacation in the Crimea should be more available. “Prices do need to come from the mind. Stay in our country does not have to be expensive, then tourists will come,” said she .

Speaking about the resettlement of the 80 families from the construction of the Kerch bridge, she noted that local residents are extremely fortunate, “because in those homes it was impossible to live”. “There are dilapidated areas. Even before the construction of the bridge, we went there, and I was struck by how bad people live. Perhaps they would have another chance to improve their living conditions,” she said.

The Kerch bridge is being built at the expense of the Federal budget under the Federal target program “Socially-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol until 2020” without Fund-raising. The opening of vehicular traffic in the work mode scheduled for the end of 2018.

The relocation of the Kerch 80 families is that they live on the street Cement Slobidka in Kerch, in the sanitary-protection zone of the bridge, where not allowed houses. Moreover, the houses of these families were recognized as old. People relocated in new apartments in the district of Lower solar, just two kilometers from the current place of residence.
