USSR people’s artist, famous actor and Director Alexey Batalov has died in a Moscow hospital. He was 88 years old.

About the death of Alexei Batalov RBC reported, citing a close friend of actor Vladimir Ivanov. According to him, the Director, has died “today in the morning, while you sleep.” At the request of the family of the artist Ivanov did not disclose further details.
The last time Alexei Batalov was seriously ill. In January he broke his hip in February he underwent surgery. The artist did not leave the hospital for nearly five months.
Russian actor and Director Alexey Batalov was born November 20, 1928 in Vladimir. In 1950 he enrolled at the Central theatre of the Russian army, in 1953, moved to the Moscow art theatre. Gorky (now the Moscow art theatre. Chekhov).
Batalov starred in more than 60 movies: “the cranes are Flying”, “Tri tolstyaka”, “9”, “captivating Star of happiness”, “the lady with the dog” and others . For many spectators, the actor remembered for the role of the goshi in the film Vladimir Menshov “Moscow does not believe in tears”.
