The head of the medical Department of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Richard Budgett said that all Russian athletes, who will participate in the Olympic games in Pyeongchang have been tested for doping. Only in the period from 1 April 2017 to 31 January 2018 was conducted over 16 thousand doping tests, reports TASS. This is two thirds more than in the same period before the Olympics 2014 in Sochi.

On 25 January the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has submitted a team to participate in the Olympics in Pyeongchang. The list was published on the website of the ROC. The entire team of 169 athletes. The Russians will compete in 15 sports . On Friday, January 19, it became known that the IOC has reduced the Russian from a list of 500 candidates for ride Games, OCD is composed, on 111.

Later, the IOC rejected even some of the athletes, including skier Sergey Ustyugov, biathlete Anton Shipulin and short-tremist Viktor Ana.
