From South of the penal colony №51 (Odessa), where at the end of may there was a riot of convicted persons, transferred to other relevant institutions of the Odessa region 58 prisoners.
“02.06.2019 of the year, 58 prisoners of GU “southern penal colony №51″ transferred to other institutions of the southern inter-regional Department for execution of criminal sanctions and probation service of the Ministry of justice the same level of security for further punishment,” reads the message on the page of the office of the Ministry of justice on Facebook on Monday.
The transfer of prisoners was carried out in compliance with current legislation on the basis of the decision of the interregional Commission, adopted by results of consideration of complaints received from prisoners. Complaints and allegations about misconduct in the translation have been received, noted in the southern regional Directorate for enforcement of criminal sanctions and probation service of the Ministry of justice.
As reported in the southern penal colony №51 (Odessa) during the riots of may 27 were injured, according to preliminary data, four employees of a colony, they were given medical care, no fatalities. The instigators of the riots were isolated.
In the Unified register of pretrial investigations included information under article 392 (actions disorganizing operation of institution of execution of punishments) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
Parliament Commissioner for human rights, Lyudmila Denisova, citing data from its representative in the southern regions of Alexander Ostapenko reported that the colony has taken out five of the violators of the regime, and taken hostage by health-care workers and security guards were released.

May 31, at the Commission meeting on optimization of detention facilities, it was decided to conserve South penal colony №51.
