Science news: Researchers from Montana state University with 14 years of watching “the hand of the clock walks”.

The purpose of this non-trivial study was to determine whether changing the laws of physics over time. In order to understand whether the laws by which our universe works are subject to changes, the researchers needed the 12 most accurate atomic clocks in the world.

The essence of the experiment was to search for deviations in the devices. It is the presence of differences would serve as proof that the laws of physics still change with time.

Therefore, scientists have observed atomic clocks for 14 years, it is such a long period ensured more accurate data after the experiment. The reliability of these mechanisms is unconditional. They can’t rush or be late any fraction of a second even after millions of years.

The experiment was initiated in 1999 and stopped in 2014 . The final results after all the calculations and observations, the scientists published in June 2018.

As it turned out, for 14 years, the cesium atoms and hydrogen behave exactly the same despite the fact that they were at different points in earth’s orbit.

Therefore, the laws of physics have remained unchanged for 14 years and this fact allowed us to say with confidence to the scientists that the laws of physics are constant over time.
