National anti-doping center of Ukraine (NADC) acceded to the demands of a number of national anti-doping organizations about the suspension of Russia from participation in the Olympic Winter games in 2018.

As the press service NADZ, September 14 in the U.S. Denver held a special meeting of the 17 heads of national anti-doping organizations under the auspices of the Institute of national anti-doping organizations (iNADO), where were discussed the issues of responsibility of the Russian Federation for one of the largest doping scandals in sports history.

“Leaders NEED (national anti-doping organizations – if) urged the IOC to ban the Russian Olympic Committee to participate in the Winter games 2018 for the proven corruption of doping during the Olympic games in Sochi and the continued failure to comply with its obligations to clean sports from doping,” the statement reads .

In a statement following the meeting noted that “sports leaders and organizations in the country (Russia – Interfax) should not get access to participate in the Olympic games when they deliberately violate rules and “Rob” clean athletes”.

Leaders MUST agree with the proposal to introduce a consistent criteria to separate the athletes from Russia can compete as a neutral and independent from the Russian Olympic Committee. This should extend to those who fell under the safe anti-doping check in accordance with the practice established by the IAAF (international Association of athletics federations).

This statement was supported by the leaders of the anti-doping organizations in countries such as Austria, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, UK and USA, and the Institute of national anti-doping organizations.

National anti-doping center of Ukraine joins the call colleagues about the need of accountability of the Russian Federation, including by eliminating the Russian sports federations from participation in the Olympic Winter games in 2018. The corresponding letter is officially sent to the Institute of national anti-doping organizations.
