The actions of the participants of the trade blockade of Donbass interfere with the decision on the imposition of additional targeted sanctions from the European partners of Ukraine against Russian companies or intermediaries, who will have any relationship with “nationalized” by the militants the Ukrainian enterprises in the occupied territories.

This was stated by Deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev in an interview with Hromadske.

According to him, the sanctions envisage two stages: first – a warning – about the responsibility of Russian business and fighters in case of raider attack of Ukrainian enterprises.

“And the second stage – if this raider seizure occurs, to impose targeted sanctions against Russian business or intermediaries . If, for example, will be captured by some company, then its products will sell only in the territory of the Russian Federation. And if some Russian company will buy these products, then we will ask our European partners and the United States to introduce a targeted economic sanctions,” – said Elisha.

He added that such arrangements “realistic”, but to implement them, “it is necessary to solve something with this blockade.”

“Our us partners are saying right that “in these circumstances, we are unable to impose sanctions because you punish yourself,” said the Deputy head of the presidential Administration.

In turn Russia, according to him, uses this “blockade” to destabilize the situation in the Donbas.

As reported, on February 27, the leaders of the terrorist organizations “DNR” and “FSC” said that the demand until March 1 to lift the blockade by activists of the occupied territories.

According to them, if the blockade is not lifted, there will be external management was introduced at all enterprises of the Ukrainian jurisdiction that operate in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk. The militants announced that they will rebuild all the production processes and orienting them to the markets of Russia and other countries.

March 1, in “DNR” and “LNR” announced the “nationalization” of all Ukrainian enterprises. And on March 2 in the “DNR” published a list of 43 “nationalized” companies.

On 3 March the leader of the militants “DNR” Alexander Zakharchenko said about the “Declaration of the blockade Kiev”.

March 5, presidential administration of Ukraine said that against the possible “owners” of the “nationalized” militants enterprises can enter the EU sanctions.

***At the end of January 2017 ATO veterans and some MPs initiated a blockade of the railway crossings, on which the coal of the anthracite comes from temporarily uncontrolled territories for thermal power plants of Ukraine. According to the government, all shipments of coal were stopped on February 10.

Also the participants of the blockade, declared their intention to block all railway stations and highways on the boundary line to fulfilling their basic requirements: the liberation of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the adoption of the law “On temporarily occupied territories”.

In addition, the protesters said they plan to take “under effective Ukrainian control” all 8 major rail border crossings through which trade is conducted with Russia.

The participants of the blockade, also urged Ukrainians to support the nationalization of Russian companies in Ukraine.
