The state enterprise “Administration seaports of Ukraine” (ASD) will conduct maintenance dredging, namely, cleanup of DNA from sediment in the inner water area of the sea port “Odessa” to maintain navigation depths.

As reported the press service of the ASD, for this purpose, declared the procedure of the open auction in the electronic system Prozorro.

The estimated cost of the works amounts to almost 26 million UAH. The volume of soil is mainly alluvial soils, from which it is necessary to clean the bottom of the water area is 106.6 thousand cubic meters.

The deadline for submission of bids is 15 January 2018. An electronic auction will be on 20 February 2017.

Participation is open to national and foreign dredging companies.

The planned duration of the dredging is not more than six months .

“We will remind: according to the ASD financial plan to 2018, approved by the Cabinet on 20 December 2017, the company plans to make capital investments in ports in the amount of almost UAH 4.3 billion. A third of these costs will be allocated for dredging. The volume of dredging by the end of 2017 will amount to 7 million cubic meters In 2018, the PORT is planning to carry out work associated with the dredging of channels and water areas in total more than 11 million cubic meters,” – said ASD.

Odessa port the second largest transhipment among the ports of Ukraine (100% of the cargo is only handled by private port operators and stevedores) that has the ability to accept vessels with a maximum draft up to 13 m. the Number of arrivals in 2017 amounted to 1,394 thousand vessels (as of 1 Dec 20917).
