The Ambassador of Hungary in Ukraine Erno Keskeny announced the opening of a new border checkpoint between Ukraine and Hungary in the spring of 2018. The diplomat said this during a roundtable in Kiev, transfers “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“I hope that we will be able to develop cross border points and to open shortly a few new ones. In the near future is planned the opening of the “Nalgadas – Velikaya Palad'”, which we hope to open next spring,” said Keskin.

He also noted the importance of development of border infrastructure in the context of Ukraine’s visa-free regime with the European Union.
“Tourism, travel between our countries is increasing and the flow of people more and more and at the border, unfortunately, not very good conditions,” added Keskin .
The village of Velyka palad ‘ is located in the Vinogradovsky district, Transcarpathian region, 4 km from the place of convergence of the borders of Ukraine, Hungary and Romania and 7 km from the highway M26, leading to the checkpoint “Dyakovo – Halmeu” on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

According to the State border service of Ukraine, now on the border of Ukraine and Hungary there are three international border crossing point: “Chop (Tisa) – záhony”, “Luzhanka – Beregsurány” and “Fork – Tisanes”.
As reported, the Cabinet had enacted the Treaty between Ukraine and Hungary on the allocation of 50 million Euro loan.
