The Ambassador of Hungary in Ukraine Erno Keskeny announced the opening of a new border checkpoint between Ukraine and Hungary in the s pring of 2018.

“I hope that we will be able to develop cross border points and to open shortly a few new ones. In the near future is planned the opening of the “Nalgadas – Velikaya Palad'”, which we hope to open in the spring of next year”, – the diplomat said during a round table “Hungarian factor in the internal politics of Ukraine” on Tuesday in Kyiv.

He also noted the importance of development of border infrastructure in contact for Ukraine visa-free regime with the European Union. “Tourism, travel between our countries is increasing and the flow of people more and more and at the border, unfortunately, not very good conditions,” – said E. Keskeny.

S. the Great Palad ‘ is located in the Vinogradovsky district, Transcarpathian region, situated just 4km from the place of convergence of the borders of Ukraine, Hungary and Romania and 7km from highway M26, leading to the checkpoint “Dyakovo – Halmeu” on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

According to the State border service of Ukraine, now on the border of Ukraine and Hungary there are three international border crossing point: “Chop (Tisa) – záhony”, “Luzhanka – Beregsurány” and “Fork – Tisanes”.
