TASS, December 20. The Russian company Bosco, which is the official outfitter of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will be asked not to use their brand at the Olympic games 2018 in South Korea’s Pyeongchang due to the suspension of the Russian team from participation in the competition. This was announced by the head of the company Mikhail Kusnirovich, whose words results Reuters.

The IOC, on 5 December announced the suspension of membership of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), which the Russian team will not be able to participate in Games in Pyeongchang under the flag of their country. The IOC left to pure Russian athletes to compete at the Olympics in the status of “Olympic athlete from Russia” under the Olympic flag.

“I think in the near future will request the IOC to deactivate our rights [regarding the equipment at the Games in South Korea], said Kusnirovich, commenting on the decision. – Let they will wear, but the brand Bosco asked not to use”. The head of the company noted that Bosco has handed clothes for employees of the IOC at the Olympic games in 2018.

Earlier it was reported that Bosco became the exclusive supplier of clothing for members and IOC staff. From 2013 to 2016, the IOC collaborated with Nike. In 2016, Bosco signed the contract with the IOC for sewing dress uniform for its members and employees. In December of the current year it became known about the expansion of cooperation with the IOC.

Bosco was the General partner of the Russian Olympic team and official supplier of equipment for the eight winter and summer Olympic games in salt lake city (2002), Athens (2004), Turin (2006), Beijing (2008), Vancouver (2010), London (2012), Sochi (2014) and Rio de Janeiro (2016). 2 February it became known that the new licensee of the Olympic Committee of Russia was the company ZASPORT, created by Russian designer Anastasia Zadorina in 2012.
