The double Olympic champion on hockey Vyacheslav Bykov grateful to the skater Lyudmila Belousova for the fact that she together with Oleg Protopopov helped him during the Swiss stage of his athletic and coaching career. This is the former head coach of Russia told TASS.

Belousov died on 82-m to year of life. Paired with Protopopov she is a double Olympic champion (1964, 1968) and four-time world champion (1965, 1966, 1967, 1968). In 1979, after a foreign tour skaters left to live in Switzerland.

“I had the good fortune to be with her friends, we cooperated with them. When I played in Switzerland, then came to him to Grindelwald, they helped me recover from injury. When I coached, we used the methodology of the training process, skiing. Worked quite successfully”, – said Bykov .

“They are very pleasant, good-natured and helpful people, now goosebumps. Do not be surprised if they went on the ice and continued to give lessons. They did, watching their health. It is unfortunate that such people leave, Oleg will be very difficult,” he added.

The bulls moved to Switzerland in 1990, where he played for the “Fribourg-Gotteron” and “Lausanne”. Now 57-year-old, who twice led the Russian team to victory at the world Cup, working with one of the Swiss clubs.
