A representative delegation headed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to visit St. Petersburg international economic forum in may next year . “It is planned that, as in this year the following exhibition “Innoprom” also will include a Japanese pavilion, and the participation in the event will be the Japanese company,” – said Seko also reminded that this year in Ekaterinburg together with representatives of 170 Japanese companies.

“Structurally, using round tables and business events for Japanese and Russian business circles, which will be held in the framework of these forums next year, we would like to expand exchanges between Japanese and Russian companies, to specify the projects and further develop the Sino-Russian economic cooperation”, – concluded the Minister.

In recent years the contacts between Russia and Japan has increased markedly, both at the highest level and at the level of heads of departments, heads of departments, business representatives. The basis for the development of economic cooperation between Russia and Japan in recent years has become the eight-point plan proposed by the Japanese Prime Minister in may 2016. The document provides strengthening of relations between the two countries in the energy sector, small and medium business, the industrialization of the Far East, expanding the export base. It includes a proposal to strengthen the cooperation in the field of advanced technologies, including nuclear energy, and humanitarian exchanges.
