China will increase its steel production in 2018 due to the continuing high demand, experts say. In this case the expected surplus in the Chinese steel market will lead to an increase in exports, analysts predict Mysteel Research.

Steel production in 2018, could grow by 2.7 per cent to 930 million tonnes. The prices for steel will begin to decline in spring after resumption of suspended production in part of the winter campaign to improve the environmental situation in the country. The demand for steel in China in 2018, is expected to be 843,55 million tons, and in 2017 the figure could grow by 1.8% to 844,05 million tons, according to a survey Mysteel Research .
