The funeral of the poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko will be held on 7 or 8 April in Peredelkino Moscow region. The exact date is still unknown.

On Sunday, April 2, RIA “Novosti”, citing a source close to the family of the poet, reports “Russian conversation”.

“The funeral will be held in Russia, but when exactly is still unknown. Supposedly, 7 or 8 April in Peredelkino”, – said the Agency interlocutor.

Earlier it became known that shortly before his death, U.S. doctors diagnosed the poet’s fourth stage of cancer which is not treatable. Doctors admitted that Yevtushenko was to live no longer than three months.

We will remind, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the families of Yevtushenko and said that the legacy of the writer is an integral part of Russian culture .
