MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Chief of Land forces of Russia the General-Colonel Oleg Salyukov gave a high assessment passed in September of the Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2017”. He stated on Sunday on air of TV channel “Russia 24”.

“All the tasks that were set were met. It was quite interesting. We have shown only part of the exercise, in fact, these teachings unfold over many polygons. It is a Grand doctrine, very interesting,” he said.

Salyukov said that Russia has provided all the information about the exercises to foreign observers.

“All the staffs worked, information came, we showed, including new machines that we have, and new weapons. These machines give a full picture of the battlefield, improve the management system as a whole”, – said the commander .

According to Slukova, in recent years has achieved great progress in the management of troops by equipping command posts with modern equipment. “Those are not command posts that were 10,15, 20 years ago. This is a very modern, in the near future they will be even more modern. Exercises very well have been”, he concluded.

Joint Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2017” took place on the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus from 14 to 20 September. They were involved to 12.7 thousand. As previously reported, the last trainload of the Russian military, participated in the maneuvers, left the territory of Belarus on September 28.
