YEREVAN, may 18. /Offset. TASS Tigran Liloyan/. Serviceman of Russian military base in Armenia Valery Permyakov, who received a life sentence for the murder of a family in Gyumri, will serve further punishment in Russia. This was reported on Thursday in the Ministry of justice of Armenia.

As reported in Department, private Permyakov was handed over to the Russian side “in accordance with the procedure defined by the Moscow Convention “On the transfer of sentenced to imprisonment for further serving of punishment”.

“As a result of consultations with the competent authorities of the Russian Federation agreed that, at the respective requests of the Armenian side, Russia will provide information about the execution of the sentence against Permyakov”, – stressed in the Ministry of justice.

What did the soldier Permyakov

Permyakov at dawn on 12 January 2015, willfully left the service in the guard and with weapons left in the city of Gyumri, where in one of the houses with machine shots killed six people – members of the Avetisyan family. Six-month Serezha Avetisyan died a week later from wounds inflicted by the bayonet.

The soldier fled, leaving the scene of the crime the clothes and shoes with personalized tags, as well as machine and unspent ammunition. In the night of January 13 when trying to cross the border with Turkey Permyakov was detained by Russian border guards serving in Armenia. He admitted his guilt.

Sentenced twice – the courts of Russia and Armenia

August 12, 2015 the Russian military court in Armenia Permyakov was sentenced to 10 years in strict regime colony for leaving the guard in order to evade service, committed with arms and ammunition, and theft and illegal possession and carrying of weapons.

For the murder of members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri Permyakov already tried by an Armenian court, which on 23 August 2016 sentenced Russians to life in prison. The court of appeal of Armenia 19 December last year left the sentence in force.
