MAKHACHKALA, February 3. /TASS./ Concern “Kemp” in Dagestan Kizlyar began testing small four-seater plane MAI-411, after the completion of flight testing is scheduled to begin serial production of the car, reported TASS, the mayor of Kizlyar Alexander Shuvalov.
“Our concern “Kemp” is already ground tests of the aircraft, when weather adjusted, will begin flight tests they planned to hold at the end of the 1st quarter of 2018. After the test put it on the conveyor, the enterprise for this has created a special workshop,” Shuvalov said.
According to him, MAI-411 – joint development of the Dagestan enterprises and design Bureau of Moscow aviation Institute (MAI). “All the parts of the plane except the engine – Russian production . The engine is produced in Austria, but in the future it is also planned to be replaced by Russian” – said the Agency interlocutor.
He also said that the implementation of the project on the development of the aircraft began about three years ago, the total investment in the project amounts to 196 million roubles. In 2017 MAI-411 was represented at the air show “MAKS”, then “Kemp” got a few pre-orders.
Plane MAI 411 – analog of European CS-23 and American FAR-23 – has a solid aluminum construction, sheathed in ultra-light composite material. Experts believe that this low-cost aircraft will be in demand in Russia and can be competitive abroad. The aircraft can be operated on low-cost petrol, oil and lubricants, its flow characteristics are comparable with the car. Application MAI-411 may be promising in the air, air patrolling, aerial photo, tool monitoring, air tourism, initial training and professional selection of flight personnel.
JSC “Concern KEMZ” (the Kizlyar Electromechanical plant) specializiruetsya on the development and production of ground-based monitoring and diagnosis of aircraft avionics and various consumer goods. The company was founded in 1962 and is one of the backbone in Kizlyar.
