Former Prime Minister of great Britain David Cameron and Prince William in 2010, has held talks with at that time head of the South Korean football Association, Chung moon Joon, which discussed the exchange of votes between the British and South Korean parties in the elections of the countries-organizers of the world Championships on football 2018 and 2022 . This is stated in the report of the former head of the investigative chamber of the ethics Committee of the International football Federation (FIFA) Michael Garcia, which is published on the website of the organization.

On Tuesday FIFA unveiled the full version of Garcia’s report, which was devoted to the investigation of the election of the host countries for 2018 and 2022. Elections took place on 2 December 2010 at the meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee in Zurich, Switzerland. The right to host the world championship of 2018 was awarded to Russia, and 2022 is Qatar. UK and South Korea were among the countries applying for the tournaments.

According to the report, the head of bidding UK Jeff Thompson said that he, along with Cameron and Prince William met with Chung moon Joon at a hotel in Zurich before the election. The Prime Minister asked Chung moon Joon to vote for the British application, he said he would do if Thompson will vote for South Korea, and Thompson agreed.

Chung Mon Joon was also at the time Vice-President of FIFA. In October 2015, he was suspended from football activities for six years for violations in the election of the host countries of the 2018 and 2022. Later, the period of Ineligibility was reduced to five years.
