On Tuesday, Deputy foreign Minister Yegor Bozhok received the delegation of the Ministry of defense, the sides discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in the security sphere.

As informs on Wednesday the press service of the foreign Ministry, the U.S. delegation was headed by Director of Department of countries of Balkan, Caucasus and black sea region, Office of the Deputy Secretary of defense for policy, Catherine Sendak.

“During the meeting they discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the security sphere, in particular US assistance in strengthening the capacity of the security sector and defense of Ukraine and the reform of the Ukrainian defense industry,” – said in the message.

It is emphasized that special attention was paid to improve coordination to contain the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation, including “modalities for a possible future monitoring mission in the Black sea, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity”.

God informed the American side about the situation in the area of the wasps, the efforts of the Ukrainian side for breeding forces near the village of Lugansk and the release of the Ukrainian seamen, who are illegally detained in Russia, as well as measures for settlement of issues on the agenda of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.
