On the 90 th year, died a famous Ukrainian writer Yuri Mushketik. About this on his page in Facebook said the Chairman of the National Union of writers of Ukraine Mykhailo Sidorovsky.

“Heavy news. This morning died Yuri Mushketik, one of the classics of modern Ukrainian literature. About it I’ve just been informed his daughter Lesya. Light memory and the Kingdom of heaven, dear Yuri Mikhailovich,” he said.

Yuri Mikhailovich Mushketik was born 21 Mar 1929 in vertiivka village of Chernihiv region. In 1956, he was Deputy editor and editor-in-chief of the magazine “Dnipro”, and in 1979 he connected his life with the National Union of writers of Ukraine: first, he was Secretary of the Board of the Kiev branch of the organization, and subsequently became Chairman of NASS (years 1986-2001).

For his life along with a little prose written about two dozen novels, including “Drop of blood” (1964), “the trial of the Seneca” (1978), “Borderline” (1984).
