The head of the anti-corruption Committee of the Parliament Yegor Sobolev urges the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy to be considered on Tuesday, July 11, the issue of removal of inviolability from deputies on representation of the Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko.

“About the initiative to postpone the abolition of parliamentary immunity on the last day (current session according to the calendar plan of work of the Parliament – if): If someone is planning to make the final vote to fail in this decision, and then to disperse to the Islands and let the people here resent in Kiev, it is very bad for the country and for Parliament,” – said E. Sobolev at a meeting of the conciliatory Council of leaders of factions, committees and groups of the Parliament on Monday.

As previously reported, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy agreed with the initiative of a number of deputies to consider the lifting of parliamentary immunity on Thursday, July 13 .

The attorney General’s view on the removal of immunity of five deputies came to the Verkhovna Rada on 21 June and is already considered a regular Committee. We are talking about Andrei Lozovoi (faction of the Radical party), Olesya the Long (“will of the people”), Eugene Deydey, Maxim Polyakov (both from the faction “people’s front”) and Borislav the Rosenblatt (fraction “Block of Petro Poroshenko”).
