The Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine reported about the peaceful conduct of the voting day in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, electoral offences recorded curious cases.

First Deputy Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Spring at a briefing on Sunday in Kiev said that overall the election day in Ukraine was calm, without major incidents and system disturbances.

“We do not have any affected person during the election,” said Spring.

According to him, 66 was composed protocols on administrative violations on the voting day there were 26 registered messages about the mining.

Spring said that at present the personnel of the interior Ministry continues working in emergency mode to ensure the safety commissions, public order and prevent provocations during the counting of votes.

In turn, the head of national police Sergey Knyazev said that on voting day, police opened 71 criminal cases, the greatest number of them – 32 related to the illegal use of election bulletins, 9 – bribery of voters, 8 cases involve knowingly false messages about the threat to citizens.

Among curious cases Knyazev mentioned fact trade pies for the price of 5 cents. “In Dnipropetrovsk region, we recorded a rather unusual fact… We registered criminal proceedings and conduct a review of the actual trade pies cost 5 cents near a polling station. Indeed, people stood in line (for pies – if). Whether it was campaigning – we’ll see”, he said.

He added: “From other events is the so – called guest performers, tourists or fishermen, mostly young men, who massively moved across the territory of Ukraine. Some supposedly went fishing and we found them in the trunk near polling objects that look like cold arms, bits, spade handles”.

“94-year-old woman in Lviv broke up a newsletter and tried to eat it… In the Nikolaev area 52-year-old male showing its “position,” came out of the stall completely naked ” – said the head of national police.

Also, according to him, there were several instances of drinking alcoholic beverages during the electoral process, one case is of a criminal nature. “The head of the electoral Commission went to work, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication,” – said Knyazev.

In the Donetsk region, he said, were recorded facts of stuffing more than one ballot in the ballot box.

Of non-trivial offenses, the Prince called the facts of identification of stacked protocols even before the completion of the electoral process.

The head of national police said that despite the involvement of law enforcement officers to maintain order at the elections, the crime situation has not deteriorated.

“We do our work is not complete, continuing protection of district and precinct election commissions,” – said Knyazev.

Responding to a question about risks in the course of counting the votes, he said: “This so-called wandering tourists… We have targeted the police and the national guard for prevent provocations, any public manifestations of violations of public order.”
