Investigators of the Central apparatus of the State Bureau of investigation (GBR) exposed the corruption scheme, which was involved in the leadership of the Department of protection of state secrets and licensing (DGTL) SBU, said the first Deputy Director of the RRG Olga Varchenko.

“According to preliminary investigation, the staff of the mentioned Department were systematically demanded and received illegal benefits from employers for promises not to file a report on the irregularities and not to move cases. Every entrepreneur militiamen demanded from 20 to 300 thousand UAH. The money was laundered through a series of controlled companies,” wrote Varchenko on his page on the social network Facebook.

According to her, the RRT has conducted searches in the premises DGTL and place of residence of defendants in criminal proceedings.

“The first Deputy head of the SBU DGTL gave his subordinates – the heads of offices and departments – the list of entrepreneurs who have needed to claim the money. Then give a clear command – push mentally, until you pay a certain amount. The money that some employers have agreed to pay, they are transferred to the accounts of the charity Fund, and then, at the direction of DGTL, funds were transferred under the control of law enforcement officers of the enterprise. Part of the funds passed on the documents as payment for the Commission of a number of repair works in office buildings DGTL SBU, purchase of construction materials and wages of repairmen and the rest in cash handed to officials DGTL involved in the scheme,” – said Varchenko.

The corruption scheme was exposed when the operational support of the Department of internal security of security Service of Ukraine and under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Now the issue about the message the perpetrators of suspicion and the election of a preventive measure. For the committed crime, the criminal code of Ukraine prescribes punishment under article 368 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (receiving improper benefits) – deprivation of liberty for a term up to 10 years with the prohibition to occupy certain posts or engage in certain activities for three years.
