MOSCOW, December 14. /Offset. TASS Dilshad Lomovsky/. The decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow Russian athletes to participate in Games in Pyeongchang only under the Olympic flag is politicized, but the Russians still have to go to the tournament. This opinion TASS expressed the former hockey team of Russia, member of the Supervisory Board of CSKA Sergey Fedorov.

Earlier, the IOC disqualified the Olympic Committee of Russia, which does not allow the Russian team to play at the Olympic Games in South Korea under the national flag. In Pyeongchang will be able to go only pure Russian athletes who will compete under the Olympic flag.

“I the decision of the IOC are just like everyone else. This situation is very politicized, I don’t really want to discuss it. Bad that it happened, but the decision of athletes one to go and prove you’re the strongest . And I agree with this decision”, – said Fedorov.

Olympic games will be held South Korea’s Pyeongchang from 9 to 25 February 2018.
