MOSCOW, March 17. /Offset. TASS Dilshad Lomovsky/. Hockey game at the new stadium in St. Petersburg may take place in the first half of 2018. About TASS said the first Vice-President of Federation of hockey of Russia (FHR) Roman Rotenberg.

Previously a member of the Board of the SKA hockey club, the first President of the Continental hockey League (KHL) Alexander Medvedev said that the stadium in St. Petersburg could host a hockey match.

“Objectively it’s a realistic option, it needs to work with all the details, select the date to consider the economy, all revenues, expenses, and then make the decision. There is an option to host the game outdoors, it is technically possible, you just have to consider the issue in more detail, but the idea is great. There can play, and the team that we need to see, and SKA, but for this we need the League to negotiate so she was allowed to play outdoors . I think it will be possible to implement already in the next season, in the 2018 calendar year,” said Rotenberg.

Stadium in St. Petersburg will host matches of the confederations Cup and world Cup in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Also in the near future the arena will be transferred to the football club “Zenith” which will play their first match at the new stadium on April 23 against the Yekaterinburg “Ural”.
