According to representatives of NASA, although some extrasolar planets are found in zones of habitability, closer to the Ground and the distance and temperature, this is the first, which is similar to Earth in many ways.

An international group of scientists has discovered a new exoplanet with very attractive characteristics. It is located 300 light years from us, orbits in the habitable zone and its size and temperature is very similar to Earth. This writes the New Atlas.

New planet Kepler-1649c similar to Earth was discovered using the Kepler telescope.

“Kepler-1649c – a rocky planet only 1.06 times larger than the Earth and receives from its sun 75% of the light compared to ours. This means that the temperature it also can be close to the earth – while drawing conclusions too early, because the composition of its atmosphere is unknown. Most important, however, that the orbit of the exoplanet is located inside of the habitable zone of the star Kepler-1649. This means that on the surface may be a liquid water,” – say the scientists.

At the same time, at NASA say that the discovered planet not as easy as it might seem at first glance. So, the star around which the planet turns in just 19.5 days, it’s red dwarf. Such stars usually emit beams of deadly radiation.

On the other hand, the orbit of the planet stable, so she had a long life, and red dwarfs – the most common type of stars in our galaxy.

It follows that such exoplanets should also be not uncommon.
