French fencer Lembach Charlotte in the finals of the “Moscow sabre”

MOSCOW, June 4. /TASS/. French fencer Lembach Charlotte won the traditional tournament “Moscow sabre”, the final stage of the Grand Prix series. The competition took place on the small arena “VTB Ice Palace”.

In the final Lembach won the Hungarian Anna Marton with the score 15:10. The third steel Frenchwoman Caroline Qeroli and Romanian Bianca Pascu.

The best of Russians Anna Bashta was the eighth losing in the quarterfinals to future winner of Marton.

In the men’s tournament, held Saturday, was won by the Italian Luca, Curatolo. The second place took the representative of South Korea’s GU Bon Gil, bronze medals were won by Hungarian Aron Szilagyi and South Korean Kim Jung-hwan.

The last time the men’s competition, the Russian fencers have won in 2013, when the winner was Nikolay Kovalev, while the women’s tournament in 2014 was won by Ekaterina Dyachenko . A year ago the Russians were the bronze medalists in men the award was won by Kovalev, women, Yulia Gavrilova.

“Moscow sabre” took place on the small arena “VTB the Ice Palace”, previously the competition is always held in capital USZ “Friendship”.
