As at 19: 00 Wednesday, 11 December, the number of deaths due to a fire in the building of the Odessa College of Economics, law and hotel and restaurant business increased to 13 people, reports the press service of the state service of Ukraine for emergency situations.

“The fire killed 13 people: …11 Dec at 18:25 during the rubble found the body of 1 person,” according to the summary published on the website of gschs.

According to the information currently in hospitals remains 8 of the 30 injured during the incident.

“Emergency rescue and other urgent work continues”, – is spoken in the message.

However, in summary there is no information about the number of people whose fate is still unknown.

However, the evening of 10 December, the press service of the national police, citing first Deputy interior Minister Sergei Yarovoy reported that it remains unknown fate of four people still unaccounted for after a fire in the building of the Odessa College.

“As of now, the tragedy claimed the lives of 12 people. Location 4 people is still unknown, 5 people have so far failed to identify”, – the press service of the National police of Ukraine with reference to the Spring.

As reported at 10:12 Wednesday, 4 December, at the Odessa College of Economics, law and hotel and restaurant business on the third floor of a six storey educational building was on fire, the area of which reached 4 thousand sq. m. divisions of gschs rescued and evacuated 40 people (12 people took on the landings, 10 people were removed by links GDZS and 18 people using stairs and lifts) of about 400, were in the building at the time of the fire.

At 14:18 on the same day the fire was localized, but the putting out individual fires and smoldering plots continued for a long time.

Upon a fire criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 270 (violation established by the legislation of fire safety requirements) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. On 5 and 6 December declared days of mourning in Odessa.
