Ekaterina Gamova

TASS, 1 Sep. Russia’s Ekaterina Gamova who retired in October 2016, joined the athletes ‘ Commission of the European volleyball Confederation (CEV). About it reports a press-service of the Russian volleyball Federation.
This decision was taken at the 38th General Assembly of HRH in Krakow, Poland. HRH creates a working group of athletes, which is actually a Commission, to better coordinate between the volleyball players and functionaries.
Gamow was the only Russian included in the composition of the Commission. Only working group included eight athletes.
Gamow played for the Russian clubs “METAR” (1996-98), “Uraltransbank” (1998-2000), Uralochka (2000-03), Moscow “Dynamo” (2003-04), Dynamo Moscow (2004-09), Turkish “Fenerbahce” (2009-10) and Kazan “Dynamo” (2010-16). During her career she won 11 times in the Championships of the country. Is a four-time winner of Cup of Russia . In the “Arsenal” became the champion of Turkey, winner of Cup and super Cup.
In the composition of Kazan “Dynamo” Gamow five times became the champion of Russia (2011-15), the winner of the Champions League (2014) and club world championship (2014). In the Russian team became two-time world champion (2006, 2010) and Europe (1999, 2001), two-time silver medalist of the Olympic games (2000, 2004).
