MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. The Argentine national team on football defeated the team of Chile with the score 1:0 in the home match of the 13th round of the qualifying tournament of the 2018 world Cup in the CONMEBOL (South America). The meeting was held in Buenos Aires at the Estadio monumental.

In the earlier matches of the 13th round of the Colombians at home defeated the team of Bolivia (1:0), the Brazilians defeated the team of Uruguay (4:1), and the national team of Paraguay in his field took over aquaticae (2:1). Teams Venezuela and Peru played out a draw with the score 2:2 .

The Argentines won a second consecutive victory in the qualifying tournament and managed to take third place in the standings, scoring 22 points in 13 games.

Leader in the standings of the Brazilian team (30 points), second place goes to the team of Uruguay (23), the fourth – Colombia (21), the fifth – Ecuador (20), the sixth – Chile (20), seventh – Paraguay (18), the eighth – Peru (15), ninth – Bolivia (7), the tenth – Venezuela (6).

Two-round qualifying tournament of ten teams, CONMEBOL will be completed in October 2017. The final of the 2018 world Cup will be the four best teams, the fifth team will play play-off match with the representative of the Confederation football Oceania. World Cup 2018 will be held from 14 June to 15 July at 12 stadiums in Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Sochi and Rostov-on-don.
