The high Council of justice (SCJ) has rejected the petition of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine about temporary suspension of the judge of Suvorovsky district court of Odessa Ivan Shepitko in connection with the investigation of criminal proceedings.
As the correspondent of Agency “Interfax-Ukraine”, the court’s decision taken on Tuesday, having considered the petition of the Prosecutor General to suspend Shepitko from justice in connection with the criminal prosecution.
Earlier Tuesday, the same decision of the Supreme Council of justice adopted in the case of a judge of the District administrative court of Kiev Pavel Vovka and Igor Pogrebnichko.
As reported, on 2 August the head OASC Vovk presented with the message on suspicion in intervention in activity of the High qualification Commission of judges (vkks), and other possible crimes. He is charged with the following offences: under part 3 of article 27, article 351-2 (organization impeding the activity of the High Council of justice, High qualifications Commission of judges of Ukraine), part 3, article 27 part 2 of article 375 (organization of the judge (judges) knowingly illegal sentence, decision, definition or resolution), part 2 of article 376 (interference in the judiciary) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
His Deputy is suspected under part 5 of article 27, article 351-2 (aiding and abetting in the obstruction of the activities of the High Council of justice, High qualifications Commission of judges of Ukraine), part 2 of article 376. OASK the judge and the judge of Suvorovsky district court of Odessa, are suspected under article 351-2, part 2 of article 375 of the criminal code of Ukraine.
SCJ was received from the state office of public Prosecutor of the petition for temporary suspension of a judges OASC Vova, Igor Pogrebnichko and judge of Suvorovsky district court of Odessa Ivan Shepitko.
