MONTREAL /Canada, 7 Oct. /TASS/. Russian gymnast Maria Paseka took first place in the vault at the world Championships, held in Montreal, Canada. The judges praised her performance in 14,850 points.

Second place went to American jade Cary (14,766), the bronze went to Julie Steingruber from Switzerland (14,466). Fifth place went to 42-year-old representative of Uzbekistan’s Oksana Chusovitina (14,366).

22-year – old Apiary- world champion 2015 in the vault, three-time Olympic medalist. On the European championship 2017 in Romania, she won vault, fourth place.
Medal of the Apiary became for the Russian team second in the tournament. Earlier Yelena Yeryomina won bronze in the individual all-around .
