In Kazan from 18 to 20 may was held the IX international economic summit of Russia and countries of the organization of Islamic cooperation “Russia — the Islamic world: KazanSummit 2017”. TASS is the General information partner of the summit.

In capital of Tatarstan was attended by over two thousand guests from 50 countries signed over 40 agreements. The summit hosted the largest in Russia and the only in the Volga Federal district exhibition of Halal products (i.e. goods and services whose use is permitted to the Muslims).

The main discussions took place on the development in Russia of Islamic financial services. Unlike traditional banking services — a ban on charging interest rates for loans and the waiver of high-risk operations. The principles of Islamic banking may apply to clients regardless of their religion. In addition, representatives of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation did not exclude the possibility of a launch in Russia and insurance services, which will operate on Islamic principles.

Another discussed topic was Halal tourism: Russia is ready to welcome guests from Muslim countries despite the strictness (they need prayer rooms and special menus, with a permitted food in restaurants).

A separate session was devoted to the traditions of Russian solnceva — the organizers are confident that in Russia there is increasing public interest in falconry. Raptors are used for human security, for example, drive away the birds from the flight zones around airports. At the panel discussion were discussed the topical problems of modern Russian falconers and illegal export of poached birds.
