MOSCOW, March 3. /Offset. TASS Andrei Kartashov/. Women’s world chess championship in Iran was colorful including because of the participant conducted the party in headscarves. “At first, there was criticism that the girls were forced to play in headscarves, but then got used to it, and every day players wore a new shawl. It added color. Note that the match was organized at a high level. Food, accommodation of the participants – everything was perfect,” said Ilyumzhinov.
“I have five minutes I will crown the new world champion, reward the participants of the match. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. And so it was throughout the match,” – said Ilyumzhinov.
The world champion was a Chinese woman tan Junyi that tie-break the Ukrainian defeated Anna Muzychuk – 1,5:0,5.
