The adoption by Parliament of the law on turnover of agricultural land is expected in late may 2017.
Ukraine plans before the end of may 2017 to adopt the law regulating the turnover of agricultural land, and in 2018 – by the end of the moratorium is to launch the sale of farmland.
Adoption until the end of may the necessary law is a structural beacon, the IMF, and the willingness to run a sale of farmland is contained in a letter to the Fund about the intentions of the Ukrainian leadership.
“Liberalization of the land market, including the sale of agricultural land remains important to enhance the potential for economic growth of Ukraine. In this regard, we have established a working group with the relevant ministries in cooperation with the world Bank, which will prepare the act for opening the land market and sales are subject to restrictive measures . The adoption by Parliament of the law on turnover of agricultural land is expected in late may 2017. After the moratorium on sale of agricultural land at the end of 2017, it will be possible for the sale of state and private land (2018 – ed.)”, – is spoken in the letter.
In NBU said, when Ukraine will receive money from the IMF
The Ukrainian leadership announced its intention to conduct an awareness-raising campaign to bring the public benefits of this reform.
As reported, on February 6, Finance Minister Alexander danyluk reported that Ukraine reached an agreement with the International monetary Fund on the preparation of a bill on land reform before the end of may this year.

The moratorium on sale of agricultural land operates in Ukraine since 2001. In October 2016 the Verkhovna Rada has prolonged its action till the end of 2017.
