TALLINN, August 5. /TASS/. 202 the remains of Soviet soldiers who died liberating Estonia from the Nazis, was reburied in a mass grave in the town of sinimäe on Saturday.

“We owe it to the people today bid farewell for the last time, the fact that we are alive, that are living on the earth our children and grandchildren. The remains of the victims were discovered by the local search club Кamerad. The decision on its reburial was made after agreement of all formalities with the authorities of Estonia and Russia.

The funeral ceremony was attended by the acting Consul General of Russia in Narva, Ekaterina Andrievsky, Consul Vladimir Malyshev, an attache Alexander Shmatkov, veterans of the great Patriotic war, heads of veteran organizations and associations of Russian compatriots in IDA-Virumaa, as well as members of the Narva Union “Patriot”. A Requiem prayer for the dead was served by the priest of the Orthodox Church of Narva.

“In the land [of Eastern region of Estonia] IDA-Virumaa is very much of the remains of soldiers who fought on the side of the Soviet army, and on the other side, – said the head of search club Кamerad Paul Stemmer. – I think it is thousands, if not tens of thousands of the fallen. And we, the searchers thirteen nationalities included in our club, have a common cause – persistent memory of the soldiers who gave their lives”.
