In Germany appeared first helpline for male victims of violence. On Wednesday, April 22, said the relevant ministries of the Federal States of North Rhine – Westphalia and Bavaria, which became intiatory helpline.
They can use men of any age who have experienced violence, whether domestic or sexual, stalking (stalking), or forced marriage, according to the website of one of the departments.
“Just in this situation it is important that men have been where to turn if they were victims of violence,” − said In Karrenbach, the head of the Ministry of the region development and public policy in North Rhine – Westphalia, responsible among other things for equality.
Federal lands of Germany are working together in the fight against violence against women, reminded Saurenbach and said that now should “give impetus to the fight against violence against men”.
The phone is available for residents of Germany. North Rhine – Westphalia and Bavaria are calling the other 14 States of Germany to take part in this initiative.
According to the Federal office for criminal cases in the year 2018, the proportion of men in the statistics on violence in the partnership increased to 18.7% (after 17.9 per cent a year earlier).
