Odessa police detained a group of foreigners who started a fight with a stabbing in which two people died, one was wounded and is in hospital, according to the communication Department of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Odessa region.

“The incident occurred at night in the Greek area. Aliens have started a conflict with the three inhabitants of Odessa who after the party returned home. A verbal argument escalated into a fight, during which one of the offenders pulled out a knife from his pocket and began to hit them. Brandishing a knife, he didn’t even notice how injured not only Odessa, but also to his fellow countryman”, – stated in the message on the official website of the state of Ukraine in Odessa region.

From the got knife wounds two of the victims died: 28-the summer local resident at the scene, and 21-year – old foreigner in a medical facility. Another victim 30-year-old Odessa is now in serious condition in the hospital.

Police found and arrested 24 -, 26-and 28-year-old offenders. Their actions are qualified as murder (part 2 of article 115), attempted murder (Art. 15, part 1 of article 115) and hooliganism (part 4 of article 296 of the Criminal code of Ukraine).

“All three defendants declared suspicion, the question on election of a measure of restraint in form of detention. The maximum punishment provided by law for the offense, is life imprisonment”, – summed up the police.
