Two light aircraft collided in the Romanian County of Suceava, one of the pilots died. About it reports on Saturday, August 4, the Agency Agerpres with reference to the General Inspectorate for emergency situations (GIES).

“Two light aircraft collided in the air Saturday during a training flight in the village Fratautii Vechi, Suceava County. The incident resulted in one of the pilots was killed”, – stated in the message.

According to GIES, after the collision, both aircraft landed outside the runway.

“Both pilots were trapped, one of them was unconscious, he was later presumed dead. The co-pilot were retrieved from the cockpit, he had first to help the doctors,” – said representatives of the GIES Agerpres.

The second pilot, it was decided to deliver by helicopter to a hospital in Iasi .

According to preliminary information, the aircraft was performing a training flight in preparation for participation in the Airshow, which was held in honor of Stephen the Great in Suceava.

Earlier it became known that in Krasnoyarsk region of Russia crashed helicopter Mi-8 of UTair company, killed 18 people. Later it was reported that during takeoff Mi-8 caught on the cargo of another helicopter, and then fell and was completely destroyed.
