SVETLOGORSK, July 10. /TASS/. In Svetlogorsk ongoing XV festival “Baltic debuts”. “Violinist”, “Head. Two ears,” “the Last hero” and other films continue the series of film screenings of the festival in three programmes: international competition, “Premiere of the year” and “Competition of the Russian debuts”, which is held at the festival for the first time.
The organizers have divided the international and Russian debuts to provide the opportunity for the jury and audience to evaluate the professional maturity, identity and capabilities of the young Russian cinema.

Production center “VGIK-Debut” (the organizer of the XV International film festival “Baltic debuts”) was established in 2011 to support and promote young promising graduates of VGIK, as well as connections to knowledge and skills acquired during the years of study at the Institute of professional practical activities after graduation. Production center “VGIK-Debut” since the Foundation is implementing a complex program of support of young specialists-graduates of VGIK, in which the created fiction, documentary and animation projects.

The world of animation today was dedicated to a master class of Leonid Pozhidaeva, head of the Studio artists of animation and computer graphics at the Institute of Cinematography. In the framework of the “Summer film school”, which is also organized at the festival will be held master class of the honored worker of arts of Russia Sergey Michelskeho. The names of the winners of the festival “Baltic debuts” call on July 13. International competition jury will be headed by the Head of the production Department of the Estonian film Institute, the producer, the representative of Estonia in the Fund “Ebrima” Piret Tibbo-Hudgins (Estonia/Tallinn). The work of the Russian debutants will be evaluated by the jury headed by famous Russian film Director, screenwriter, actor Alexander Scott (Russia/Moscow). Special prize will be awarded by audience vote.
