In the village. Baryshivka, Kyiv oblast 33-year-old man died during police detention, the press service of the National police.

Law enforcement officers arrived on call due to family conflict, during which the man stabbed brother his wife and fled the crime scene.

“In the area entered the plan-interception and tracked down the attacker. The driver began to resist police and rushed at officers with a knife. Law enforcers managed to disarm and detain the man. Gradually, the detainee became ill, then the police called an ambulance and provided emergency medical assistance. Paramedics who later arrived at the call were unable to save the man – the detainee died”, – stated in the message on the official website of national police on Sunday.

It is noted that the incident was reported to the Prosecutor and the RRT. The final cause of death of the detainee will establish it is judicial-medical examination.

“Open criminal proceedings on the fact of hooliganism part 4 of article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal code of Ukraine and part 1 of article 345 (Threat or violence concerning the employee of law enforcement body) the Criminal code of Ukraine. Pre-judicial investigation proceeds”, – summed up the police.
