TASS, August 23. International military-historical expedition “North-Western front” was completed in the Novgorod region, search engines are solemnly buried the remains of 147 of the red army soldiers on the war memorial in the village of Molvotitsy, told TASS on Wednesday the organizers of the expedition .

“The remains of 147 of defenders of the Fatherland found in the course of the expedition “North-Western front”, was buried at the memorial in the village of Molvotitsy Maroyvskiy area. The expedition completed a two-week campaign”, – said the representative of the press service of the all-Russian public movement “Search movement of Russia”, the organizer of the expedition.

The search for the red army was in the territory of Demyansky and Marevsky district, Novgorod region. In 1941-1942, the red army resisted here the offensive of the German army group “North”. According to the head of the movement Elena Sanaevoj, managed to establish the names of six persons – natives of Novosibirsk region, Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod) oblast and Krasnodar.

Expedition “North-Western front” brought together more than 400 activists from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Germany and the United States. Together with the search engines worked the soldiers of the 90th separate special search battalion of the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation, support of the expedition had a Military and historical center of the northwestern Federal district and the government of the Novgorod region.

“Search movement of Russia” unites over 42 thousand search engines of all ages during the four years of existence of the movement have discovered the remains of more than 75 thousand soldiers and officers and has established the names of almost 4 thousand of them.
