Robert Bernstein was a human rights activist, and also founded a major publishing Corporation.

In new York at the age of 96 years died a human rights activist and publisher, founder of Human Rights Watch, Robert Bernstein, reports citing The New York Times.

Human Rights Watch, a non – governmental organization with headquarters in the United States, responsible for monitoring, investigating and documenting human rights violations in more than 70 countries around the world.

Bernstein, as noted, turned comparatiu Random House in “the international publishing giant.” Sam Bernstein “defending political dissent and freedom of expression”.

His death in hospital was confirmed by the son of Peter.
