In the Council of national security and defense of Ukraine in order to avoid misunderstandings and manipulations, explain that the amount of 28.2 billion is the proposed budget of the office of the national security Council in 2020, and provided for the needs of all Executive bodies of the security sector and defense of the country.

“28.2 billion UAH is not the budget of the office of the national security Council and defense of Ukraine. This amount provides for the needs of all Executive bodies of the security sector and defense of Ukraine”, – said the first Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Mikhail Koval on Friday.

He explained that in accordance with the law “On the national security Council and defense of Ukraine”, the national security Council develops and adopts the proposals for the draft law “On state budget of Ukraine” on articles related to the national security and defense of the country.

“The current draft law On the state budget of Ukraine for 2020, as an exception, provided that all expenditure on security and defense will be distributed by the decision of the NSDC of Ukraine. Now proposals for funding of national security and defense of Ukraine are being developed and will be reviewed at the next meeting of the NSDC of Ukraine”, – told Koval.
