News of Ukraine:the interior Ministry analyzes all incoming operational information and will “meet all of the challenges that will arise”.

The Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine and the national police have enough forces and means to ensure safe celebrations on 23 and 24 August, national flag Day and Independence Day in Ukraine, assured the leadership of the interior Ministry.

Answering questions regarding security and possible information on preparing provocations, first Deputy Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Spring stated that the interior Ministry will hold on Tuesday a meeting on the organization of public security during the events.

“The Ministry of internal Affairs will be involved (law enforcement) all units, national police and the national guard, border guards and emergency service – about 7 thousand people”, – said S. Spring .

He also noted that the interior Ministry analyzes all incoming operational information and “all the challenges that will arise, all emergency situations – they will react the personnel of the Ministry of internal Affairs with the main aim of providing public security.”

As informs a press-service Ministry of internal Affairs, the rule of law in Ukraine on August 23-24, will provide about 15 thousand law enforcement officers: employees of the national police, National guard troops and State border service, as well as specialists of the state service for emergency situations.

In Kiev these days to ensure public order will involve about 7 thousand military personnel: on 23 August, the streets of the capital will patrol 1.4 thousand people, and 24 August to 4.5 thousand police officers and guards.

In turn, the head of the National police of Ukraine Sergey Knyazev said: “the Police will ensure public safety during celebrations of the 23rd and 24 th. I guarantee that no citizens will be the target of attacks or any terrorist attacks. For this purpose we have enough forces, means and abilities.”
