A farmer in India has received as compensation for the debt train.
A farmer from the Indian state of Punjab Sampooran Singh sued the railway company Indian Railways 20-car passenger train in compensation for debts, reports NDTV.
The publication reports that the Indian Railways have purchased the farmer’s land for the construction of the railway line, but put him 10 million rupees (about 150 thousand dollars) is not paid.
Singh sued and won the case, however, the company stated that the funds to repay the debt they have. After re-hearing the farmer issued a court decree assigning the rights to use the train.
The farmer and his lawyer went to the station at Ludhiana and presented the court decision to the engineer. Singh allowed the train to complete the flight because he did not want to cause inconvenience to thousands of passengers.
The court allowed Indian Railways to use makeup for a few days . If upon the expiration of funds for the payment of the debt will not be found, the train can be put up for auction.
